Mobile-friendly: responsive determines your ranking factor
People are increasingly looking for information via their smartphone, that is a fact! According to many studies (Google it yourself!), It appears that the number of visitors to a website via smartphone is greater than via cover. A responsive website is a site that is compatible with smartphones and tablets and therefore adapts to those different screen sizes. Believe us freely: mobile traffic will continue to grow. But not only that is why a mobile-friendly website is a must ... t was already indicated in the spring of that Google will score better on your website if it is mobile-friendly. That is already the case, but it will go even further from mid-January 2017. If Google sees that your website is not mobile-friendly, you will be positioned even less favorably in the search results. A non-mobile-friendly website is seen as less pleasant user experience for visitors. And we all know: a site that does not (clearly) appear in the Google results, hardly exists. The webmaster trends analyst at Google, Gary Illyes, recently announced during a conference on digital marketing that Google "will soon" adjust the search results again. The results if you search mobile will differ from those on laptops and PCs. The search index for desktop and mobile will be split. Google will make a separate list for mobile websites and will use this criterion to position mobile websites higher in the search results.
Safety first: safety becomes more important
An SSL certificate encrypts the (sensitive) data that users enter on your website. These include credit card numbers, passwords, e-mail addresses, and so on. It is important to know that, some browsers will report that the connection is not encrypted or secure. It starts with a neutral announcement, but that will be shown more emphatically in later updates. That is because safety is becoming increasingly important. An SSL certificate even determines your ranking factor in the search results. You can recognize the presence of SSL in your browser by a green padlock or a green address bar. HTTP is also changed to HTTPS. It shows your visitors that you are a reliable source.
