Location-based marketing

Location-based marketing

For many consumers, a smartphone and the internet are an integral and prominent part of their customer experience. In line with the trends of 'personalization' and 'omnichannel' are the location-based services (LBS), where you gain insight into the location of your visitor and you can communicate more specifically with your target group. LBS is a service that is widely used in applications. An example is that your smartphone shows which restaurants or companies are nearby. The location information comes from a GPS receiver or the mobile network. Depending on the number of visitors, the ' popular times and visitation duration ' of your company also appear with your company data on Google. If you have a Google My Business page, Google can display the popular visiting times of your organization based on anonymous user data. It also informs how long most visitors spend here. This then appears on the right in the Google result with the rest of your company information.

Content marketing: determine your strategy

We are flooded with content every day. How can you still stand out among the crowd with your content? This is about both visual (photos and videos) and textual content. Both forms must be used increasingly 'smarter'. For that, you obviously have to work out a strategy. From our own experience, we notice that so far many companies have not yet fully integrated this, but are increasingly in need of it. Consumers nowadays use content more selectively, and the most important factors they filter for are 'quality' and 'relevance'. It is therefore important not only to plan well in which way you will communicate but also take into account copywriting skills and quality image material.

Live streaming & corporate videos

Although it is often used now, it is becoming increasingly popular. We already had Periscope and Meerkat. And Facebook users make great use of it! As an entrepreneur, it is, therefore, something to include in your content strategy in 2017. Video content is a very effective tool for increasing your conversions. It ensures interaction and that visitors spend a long time on your page. With corporate videos, it is the best way to show the face behind your company.

Marketing Automation

Marketing Automation itself is not a tool, but a strategy whereby companies are in constant contact with their target group, and this remains essential in 2017 as well. Marketing automation tools are, simply put, different tools that automate your marketing process. For many, this is a difficult concept to understand, but we already summarize it for you in one sentence: marketing automation is about automating your communication flows, where the right message with the right content and form, at the right time to the right person is brought. It is a link between CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and CMS (Content Management System).

Virtual & Augmented Reality

These are two recent forms of interaction and contact with your customer. It is already a trend to be completely immersed in another virtual reality. Virtual Reality is a computer-controlled simulation where you are completely cut off from the outside world and where you end up in a different reality. This year, Augmented Reality was again in the spotlight through Pokémon Go. Augmented Reality connects the real and virtual world. These are two things that are not immediately included in the standard media mix since it is trends that come in waves. Usually, it is linked (and therefore dependent) to another invention. For example, interest in Augmented Reality is currently weakening due to the fact that Pokémon Go is also declining in popularity.
